Next stop.. The Areas!

It’s a new year and already Fulham Brass Band are full steam ahead with competitions! Our recent visit to the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in January, was a good start to the year, where we competed against 16 national bands from around the country. We played ‘Kenilworth’ by Sir Arthur Bliss and although did not get the placing we would have hoped for, the band played a good performance and enjoyed the weekend bonding session as per usual!

In 6 weeks time we will be heading back to Stevenage to compete at the London and Southern Counties Regional Brass Band Competition and we will be looking for a good result, to follow on from our successes in 2013. The Band will spend the next few weeks working hard on the piece with a mixture of sectionals and full-band rehearsals working on Chaucer’s Tunes for Brass Band by Michael Ball. The Band will also be preparing our summer programme so that we can look ahead to another year of exciting concerts and projects!

Please come and support us and keep checking back for updates of all our concerts #TEAMFULHAM

We are still seeking  a Bb BASS (instrument available!) and PERCUSSIONIST  to add to our existing line up ASAP!
We are an ambitious and sociable 2nd section band and welcome applications from motivated and competent individuals. Under the baton of recently appointed MD Chris Augustine we were runners up in the 1st section at the SCABA Autumn Contest in Crawley at the end of September, and back in June we were champions of the 2nd section at the French Open in Amboise. Over the coming weeks the band will be working with our MD, pushing towards promotion to the first section.
As a central London Brass Band based in Fulham (rehearsing on Monday nights) we welcome a large group of hard-working players from around the world who have a strong desire to succeed in local and national competitions plus a busy calendar of exciting projects!
