[SinglePic not found]The band is very sad to lose our principal cornet and band secretary, Andrew Sladen, due to a relocation with work. Andy served Fulham Brass Band fantastically over a number of years as principal cornet player and during the last 12 months as a very effective and well liked Band Secretary. The Butlins contest in January was due to be Andy’s last official job with the band, but it has been agreed that Andy will come back for the Area contest in March. This contest marks a key stage in the development of the band over the last couple of years and top 5 result may see the band get promoted to the 2nd section for the first time in its history. A process to appoint a new principal cornet will now begin.
